While our protection is important, it seems all security measures are an after the fact, reactionary overkill.
All liquids banned??? I get concerned when I pass through the security check point, and yet cannot take my Starbucks coffee, bottle of water, (all bought within the secured area) on to the plane. Security that cannot discern between a latte' and a bomb worries me.

no! by all means implement the safeguards! i used to fly all the time and now id rather take a bus or cruise ship. sure a terrorist could blow those up but chances of survival are greater. If you look at it, airplanes are the biggest missles on earth. full of fuel, a jet is just a guided missle with passengers. If it lands safely, Great! if it doesnt, mass destruction where it hits

Not only that but most of the rules are aimed at "perceived" security. Take this most recent no liquid\gel rules. Now if a makeup size tube of something is enough to cause problems don't you think Mr. Terrorist can find someplace to hid it that won't be checked without a full body cavity search.

yes, i would think a port would be more easily accessed by them. and as for airplane security. i like that no one can take anything on board, because now if someone is trying to do harm they don't have a gun, and if you are endangering my life or the life of my friends or family ill kill you. and now they gotta fight me barehanded, i dont fight people with guns, guns kills me
