I'm always reading on C/net that LCD prices are dropping but when am I goign to pikc up a reasonably sized LCD (27"+) at a comparable price to a CRT. They keep saying "prices are coming down" but I still can't find a 27" LCD for less than $650 when I can get a picture tube for 1/3 of that. I only pay for things in cash (meaning not on credit card) so I don't think it's reasonable amount for a TV with less quality (in my eyes) for higher price. Any thoughts?

Disclaimer: Yes I know there are LCD's that have great clarity but there price is astroniomical compared to the mediocre ones

When they come up with something new, they will drop way down. About 7 years ago or more, I got a 60 inch big screen tv, for couple thousand. And now I don't even know if they make them. Everything is plasma and flat screen, thin like ice. Wait for it. That's what I'm doing.

TV is overrated... Things such as LCD televisions and HD-DVD players or Blu-ray players will start falling in price, maybe even a large drop by Christmas... be patient and you will get a good deal.
