Christians: if you make a claim, back it up. Just because you make a statement concerning something you truly believe does not, I repeat, does not make it fact.
The more claims without proof you make, the more stupid you present yourselves. It shows you are nothing more than an uneducated baboon without the ability to research basic things.
Saying something over and over a billion times does not make something fact. Saying god is real over and over does not make god real to people living in the real world.
Lastly, your bible is the most edited and revised book in history. Who edits this book? Corrupt humans in power which is why the bible is not even worth wiping my aѕѕ with.

Please get this through you mellons. The bible is not proof. It's just a book written by drunk hippies about 2000 years ago. How is the bible proof?

To the idiots that post yahoo answers links as "proof".. that is the most ridiculous attempt to prove god ever.

My evidence that the bible is the most edited book in history is because it's in every language known to man. Words cannot be translated word for word in all languages. You get the picture...
However, how am i to trust something that corrupt humans hands have tainted?

Well, I can see that you're going to be reasonable. Do I waste my valuable time trying to convince you? Nah, you wouldn't listen anyway. You will vote the best answer as someone who spouts the same vitriol you do.
Just in case, I'll post some links from previous questions that are similar:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiElt9ZAkDWnRk8MvsjEO7fsy6IX?qid=20060711203802AAZ3aVt
And this one shows how incredible the fingerprints of God are behind the text:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ahywm9Xf7z_zeOShNPoq.7Dsy6IX?qid=20060706221436AAIIf26
UPDATE: Well, you obviously didn't read my rest of the post, because you said "To the idiots that post yahoo answers links as "proof".. that is the most ridiculous attempt to prove god ever."
That was because I didn't feel like wasting my time with someone who obviously isn't going to listen regardless.
Thus the Scripture is proven correct: "Don't cast your pearls before swine..." (Matthew 7:6)

First off...Christians have FAITH in God. We believe without having a lot of proof we can touch. The best thing we have is the Bible. As the Bible was translated over the years, it was hand-written (obviously--I doubt they had computers/type-writers back then) and checked all the time. If even the SLIGHTEST mistake was made, that copy was done away with. True, English versions are not going to be word for word the exact same as Greek or Hebrew or other languages. But the Bible is still very accurate. And...there are only a few events that were recorded in the Bible that did NOT have archaeological proof.

Juan Salvatrucha,
Wow! You just did what you said Christians do! You made a claim without backing it up. I guess it takes one to know one! lol
"Christians: if you make a claim, back it up. Just because you make a statement concerning something you truly believe does not, I repeat, does not make it fact."
I've been through this withothers here and elsewhere. This place is special because it's a section that amplifys FAITHS. Thrusting what is said in the Bible for me is key to understanding it. If you do not trust it, you do not understand it, it's axiomatic.
One way to see it is that you are looking for facts, and there are many statements of fact in the Bible. But what the Christian looks for in the Bible is truth. The two: facts and faith, are different. Perhaps that will at least help you understand why you are having so much trouble with this.
"Saying something over and over a billion times does not make something fact. Saying god is real over and over does not make god real to people living in the real world."
It doesn't do you any good to see it written because you do not believe. You put no value on what is said because you don't have the Spirit of God to guide you. You may never have the Spirit of God to guide you, while that is true, NO value on what is said affects you postively. It seems foolish to you.
Just because you don't believe, doesn't make it not true either. I have found that unless God reveals Himself, you won't believe. And unless He draws you to Him, you will not believe. If that is true, you are wasting your time here. You will never have someone explain anything that makes sense enough to make you figure that God exists. You are not chosen to know.
"Lastly, your bible is the most edited and revised book in history. Who edits this book? Corrupt humans in power which is why the bible is not even worth wiping my aѕѕ with."
Read about Biblical History if you want a qualified answer. Otherwise you question is not worth the pixels it takes to display it.

I am sorry you feel this way about the Bible.
Actually, most everything in the Bible is either backed up or is in the making. Right now, scientist are discovering the truth about Exodus and are finding artifacts to substantiate what is written.
The Bible is not only a guide for living, it is a history book. The Smithsonian Institute and many others in the scientific world use the Bible as a reference.
Jesus Christ was written about by many historians of that time. Josephas was the most popular and well known. The Gospels were written by men who walked with Jesus while he was on the earth, and the Epistles (letters) were also written by men who was either with Jesus or were involved with the men who walked with them. Luke was a doctor who knew all the Apostles. Revelations was written by the Apostle John, and it is about the visions that Jesus showed him. What is in this book are things about to happen. No, these can not be backed up, but I believe that soon they will be.
Please remember, the scientific method used by scientists only result in theories. In science, there is nothing totally proven. I learned that in college and it is still a truth used today.
I hope that you will someday check out the Bible. Faith is very important. You never know if someone is going to rear end your car, but you have faith that the driver behind you knows what he is doing. People use faith everyday. Christianity takes faith in our day and age, but also, we have facts to back up our faith as well.
Good cheer and peace.

Alright, if you claim there is no God, where is YOUR proof? If you claim there is no God you should be able to back it up with proof. You can't Prove the negative. Therefore, you have NO proof. Just because you say 'There is no God" over and over a billion times does not make it real to people in the real world. The more claims you make without PROOF, the more stupid you present yourself. It shows you are nothing more than an uneducated baboon without the abiltiy to reason.
Lastly - there will NEVER be enough PROOF to satisfy you Athesists- because you will find an excuse for everything. You Athesists are like that. You will not listen or reason. You do not even read or study your Bible. You do not go to church. You have already DECIDED there is no God. You have already chosen your SIDE! Therefore if I did come up with proof you would simply argue it away.

WITHOUT PROOF????? what about everything that has been pulled out of the earth on every archaeological dig in history. Nothing has ever been found to show evidence that the bible is fasle. Furthermore, Everything that has been found only confirmed what was written in the old ans new testiments. Some say the the new testiment was inaccuratley translated and that it was just handed down from one person to another and imbelished over time. Did you know that there are over 24,000 confirmed copies of original text that date from 50BC-150BC. A maximum of 150 years after the Gospels were writen. The only book that comes close to being as acurate as the original as that is Heroditus. and it only has 8 of the original manuscripts dated from more than 500 years after the original was writen. There's your proof.

Actually if you compare the Bible today with the original text, very little has changed. It has been revised into modern language to help people understand, because majority don't read Greek and Hebrew.
There is actually quite a bit of proof for what the Bible teaches, but proof has to be recognized and many refuse to acknowledge it. Those against the Bible and it's accurateness are usually so much against it that they ignore the proof or claim that it couldn't possibly be true.

Proof is almost completely unimportant to our understanding of the world. There is no proof for the bible's important claims, but then, there is no proof for much of what we know about the world either.
What matters is not proof but _evidence_. The difference between science and religion is not in proof, but in the fact that science relies on evidence, while religious belief does not.
Faith is not belief in the absence of proof, but rather belief in the absence of evidence, and the all-too-common confusion over that fact is the main reason why these discussions typically go nowhere. Believers who lack the faith to accept belief in the absence of evidence desperately try to dredge up things they count as evidence for their beliefs, and at the same time point to the lack of evidence for scientifically-grounded beliefs (like that in evolution) as reason to believe that those beliefs are false, or at least no more solid than are religious beliefs. That's utterly ridiculous, because of course the evidence for evolution is overwhelming, while there simply is no evidence for the core religious beliefs.
Finally, it simply is not true that the Bible is "the most edited and revised book in history". It was a mistake to make that claim when you didn't need it to support the point you were trying to make. The Bible was of course written by human beings in the first place, so there's no need to claim that it was mis-edited if your goal is to point out that the Bible is fallible. The Bible is wrong on numerous accounts, and that has nothing whatsoever to do with its history of translation and editing. It was wrong in the first place.

Its called Faith. Faith IS the proof, to Christians.
And on the whole Bible thing, the KJV Bible is the ONLY version translated, without any additions or detractions, from the ORIGINAL Greek and Hebrew versions. Who edited this book? 51 men, scholars and University Professors, who voluntereed their time. They worked in shifts, to make sure all was accurate, noone single man could corrupt it because the translation was checked, double checked, and triple checked. It was a 7 year process, making the KJV a 1st edition translation, the most accurate, and closest to the REAL writing. But I suppose you never lookied into it huh? Showing your CLAIM lacks PROOF, wich makes you a hypocrit. Why am I not suprised?

Just because you can't supply proof does not mean that something is not true. If you murdered someone and there were no witnesses and no evidence left behind, does that mean that you actually did not do it? No proof right? That means it didn't happen? Why is it that science cannot disprove there is a God. In fact, it's just the opposite. It has actually proven many events that took place in the bible.
