Everything in moderation. Eggs are an excellent source of protein.

Eggs are good for you. They are high in protein and low in calories and fat, though high in cholesterol.

With all the media attention on cholesterol, consumers often lose sight of the fact that eggs are a nutrient rich, affordable contributor to a healthy diet. Not only do eggs contain the highest quality source of protein available but they also contain almost every essential vitamin and mineral needed by humans [Sorry, no vitamin C in eggs. Chickens, unlike humans, can produce their own vitamin C and don't need to get it from the diet.]. In fact, egg protein is of such high quality that it is used as the standard by which other proteins are compared. Eggs have a biological value (efficacy with which protein is used for growth) of 93.7%. Comparable values are 84.5% for milk, 76% for fish, and 74.3% for beef. Eggs really are the best protein money can buy, and it has all those other valuable vitamins and minerals too.

An egg a day is considered fine for most people. I hope this helps.

Eggs are healthy in moderation. They are the source of nutrition for a developing embryo and contains many different types of protein and fat. Your body needs protein and fats to survive as well. Unless your doctor says that you shouldn't have them or have less of them, then you should be okay with a few servings a day as long as you aren't eating too many other fats and cholesterols. (It's a good substitute for meat.) You should be monitoring the intake of all your other foods in conjuction with your eggs.
The myth that eggs are high in cholesterol is only true if you eat too many. Just read the nutrition labels and compare to other foods to get a better idea.
To make lower fat egg dishes, I don't use substitute, I just use a few less yolks. This doesn't work in baking though!!
Of course, buy organic, vegetarian and range free as the poster writes above!!! They taste better and are healthier. Your health is worth the dollar or two more. Besides the more we buy, the cheaper it will get for everyone.

It seems there has been much erroneous information out there for public consumption. Eggs have been documented to reduce cholesterol in 2/3 of the people eating them. The other 1/3 had no change.

I have seen them reduce the cholesterol level in persons taking meds for that purpose..without benefit of reduction.. The doctor was more that surprised when on the next 3 month test, the norm had been achieved.. after a year of checking every 3 months. Nature does have its way of taking care of our body.

By the way.. egg white is globulin.. pure, simplest protein.

Every thing is good for us and bad for us. All things in moderation. The incredible edible egg is not too shabby. 3 or 4 times a week, according to my husbands doctor. But we don't eat them that often ( we just aren't fond of them, no other reason)

You should be able to ask the nutritionist at any local hospital and get the info you need free.

The Incredible Edible Egg!!
They got a bad rap back in the day but they are actually good for you it just depends on how you prepare them. Like with lots of butter and oil yeah that's bad. but with notfat cooking spray or boiled it's o.k. to eat. Just don't down like ten at a time. Don't eat raw eggs unless you know the shell has been sterilized/sanitized (just think salmonella)
One a day should be fine.

Depends on if u have any chlosterol problem. Eggs have chlosterol in them. If your numbers are good u can eat them several times a week. If your numbers are bad I would not eat them more than once a week. Remember a lot of food like cakes have eggs in them also!

The white of egg is good as it's rich in quality protein. The yolk portion eventhough tasty is full of cholestrol and can harm you in the long run (hypercholestolemia ).You can have eggs daily, but take the yolk(yellow portion) once in a week or so

Eggs are excellent. But, buy RANGE FREE, ORGANIC FED, HIGH IN THE OMEGAS. They are more than twice the price, but your health is worth it.
Regular eggs are from chickens that have been pumped with hormones to make them produce more, and antibiotics because they live in such a cramped environment.
