Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the victims (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there busily recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

Interestingly, statistics on supernatural beliefs count the USA on a par with backward, developing Third World nations, rather than among modern, advanced industrial powers.

The bible provides a good number of info that there is not any longer an instantaneous administration over humanity or the freewill of people. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says "...the fast don't have the race, nor the amazing the conflict... via fact time and unexpected occurrence befall all of them". which means random activities take place that reason circumstances to alter on their very own. Judas became already a grasping guy till now he betrayed Jesus. John states that he 'became a thief and used to hold off the monies of the donation field' (John 12:6). He fell into the roll of a betrayer. The Bible additionally heavily indicated that Jesus existed till now existence as a guy; residing in heaven as an angel of a few variety. He chosen the destiny that he'd have. one that became made waiting for him because guy's first sin (Genesis 3:14, 15) It seems such as you have accomplished a good number of questioning here. yet basically questioning on one singular element isn't wholesome. we are going to easily extrapolate techniques and make assumptions. concentration on reading, benefit greater archives, and you will discover the solutions. (Mathew 7:7. Ephesians a million:sixteen-19)

The perfect scam.
Create the perception of a need, or find existing need.
Then "fill' the need with whatever you can get away with pushing off on the "customers"
In this case, create fear (damnation) at no cost , offer hope(salvation) at no cost ....Make'em pay.
Spinkle some dried milk on a starving 3rd world baby for the appearance of legitimacy.
Get the followers to pay for that as well.
No wonder Jesus wept.

Do you have a history book ? Do you believe what it says in it ? The bible is a history book.
If you are just saying yjis youare comiting the only sin you can not be forgiven of. Deniging the Holy Spirit is one of the sins one can not be forgiven for.
Besides if you are right , you just die and turn to dust. But if I am right I will go to Heaven and you will go to Hell. Do you want to take that chance ?

It's an incredible con job when you think about it, to believe something now in exchange for something after death. Even corporations with their reward systems don't try to make it posthumous. I have little confidence in any enterprise or business or investment that promises dividends only after the death of the stockholders.

In the 'bullshit department' a businessman can't hold a candle to a clergyman.

You are forgetting the carefully and covertly arranged Concordats the Vatican forges with countries to gain financial backing from them in perpetuity and to gain privileged acces to the ear of Gov't to influence legislation so it can impose Catholicism on us all through the law.
(these Concordats once agreed cannot be dissolved unless the church wants to voluntarily give them up..that's not very likely)

organized religion in general is, but christianity really took it a step ahead - for example, the whole crusade thing was just for the church to make money - the crusaders would pay to go on a crusade, and there were romanesque churches on the way, which were basically churches, inns and garages all in one - and they had fake relics there as well. they'd pay money for the food, for their horses, for fixing the carriages, for sleeping, for seeing the relics - it's all just one big industry like disneyland. it's quite spectacular.

The bible is a pisspoor compilation of fiction.
Sins aren't real. If I, as a moral person who does not believe in God, go to Hell when I die, then God obviously imposed the wrong rules to this game of life.

To quote physicist Professor Steven Weinberg, "With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil—that takes religion." (Spot on: slavery, the crusades, suicide bombings in the name of religion, ostracization & opression of minority groups...shall I continue?)
