My trained keeps stressing the importance of protein. You should eat lean proteins though. Like fish, chicken and turkey.

Hi Eugene!

How many calories you should eat is different for everyone. However, you should shoot for a slight calorie surplus to put on the muscle weight you seek. I would suggest that you eat AT LEAST 2000 calories per day and try to get at least one gram of protein in for each pound of body weight. These are the body builders' rules of thumb. Also try to eat good food frequently to keep the nutrition constantly going to your muscles. Lastly, be sure you are never hungry.
