If you never lose, you will never appreciate winning. Break-ups are a natural part of human relations and a part of life. But, if the right person comes along you'll jump in the deep end of the pool again because the human condition is that we all seek love where we can find it and appreciate love when we receive it. Just look at your break-ups and try to understand the lesson that life is teaching you. Try not to make the same mistakes over and over again.

When true love finds you..you will be serious..break ups happen for a reason, no matter how much it hurts and trust me I have been stung a few times..Years later I am glad I didn;'t get stuck with any of the no-goes that at the time I loved and now are just a foggy memory

If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with a little rain. It's hard not to throw in the towel when you've been hurt, but when that person comes along who rocks your world, you forget all about those other disappointments, and it ends up being worth the wait. Life is full of it's share of heartbreaks- if not breakups, it would surely be something else. It's God's way of making people well-rounded.

It's a part of life. You have to go through these things in order to find your partner. The number of breakups that you go through can be reduced by trying to not get too close too fast. People tend to try to reconstruct their relationships in the image of the relationship that their parents had. It is hard now with such a high divorce rate and the absence of a model if your parents are divorced. You have to find some one who is as concerned about your happiness, desires and needs as you are about theirs. Don't stay in a relationship when you know it's not going to work out.

To be honest for a long time I held your opinion. After one horrible breakup with my ex gf, I just felt that relationships were never for me. However, I have met someone new and I am in love all over again. Mind you, I am FAR MORE cautious and distrustful (once bitten twice shy?) but I am working on it slowly and steadily. Don't worry there will be a new man (or woman) that will come into your life and you will simply not be able to resist him/her.

i can understand how you feel.. ya they suck, and ive been through some bad ones. But i intend to hopefully find another relationship, with the optimism that i might find the perfect one. Thats the only reason im looking for a relationship... this time i just might find it. your are too young to worry about that. break ups are part of life and in the end are good because you learn alot about yourself and what you want/dont want... keep your head up!

Breakups suck, I bet your heart is broken so bad right now. I said the same exact thing, many times. You'll go serious again, I don't doubt it. Though the relationship after the breakup may not be as good as you'd want it, you'll love again!

I'm the complete opposite on that philosophy.. If you don't take a relationship seriously, then its fake. If you want to go bounce around from guy to guy all your life go for it.. People that chose this lifestyle are selfish, and have no love. For me I will stick to one girl, and be faithful.. If its not the girl I want then goodbye. but I'm very good at discerning people.. so I know who the right one will be.

No, honey. You really should watch this movie called Something's Gotta Give. There are similar instances and good advice in that movie, plus it's funny. :)
You can't give up on love. You just haven't met the right person yet. If you don't continue your search, you'll never find him. Don't turn your back on it, embrace it!
