I think the rules of golf are fairly easy to understand. It's tennis I don't understand.

the USGA and the Royal and Ancient have agreed (almost) on 34 rules which are mostly straightforward and simple to understand but they also have a whole book of different interpretations that can be applied to unusual situations - so understand? - yes and no

Thats why we have officals in big events so they can come round and say all the rules, i personaly know a large portion of them but nearly every week i learn somthing i didnt know

I never did when I had to take it in college, but I had fun trying to hit the ball towards the instructors head. Got pretty close a few times.
