Old English Spangles or frozen jubblies( if ice lollies count)
P.S. just heard of this ,for those of you in the lancashire area of U.K. there is a sweet shop in Wigan that sells old fashioned sweets,it is near a multi story car park,I suppose if you ask someone, they will put you on the right course

Spangles?!!!
mine would have to be pacers, they were kinda like chewits only softer & came in minty flavours. By the way lots of the sweets already mentioned are still available:
marathons are called snickers
bonbons in all 3 flavours
fried eggs & flyin saucers
To name but a few, but sadly i dont think we are ever gonna see the likes of spangles & pacers ever again. Boo Hoo, no fair!

Two things... not candies, but sweet items from my childhood. One was a dessert you made in an aluminum ice cube tray with the divider removed... called "Something Different" and it was crushed graham crackers on the bottom and a fluffy chocolate mousse filling the rest of the tray. You froze it and ate it half frozen... yum!
The other item was called "Koogle" and it was a flavored extra smooth peanut butter spread that came in chocolate, cinnamon, banana and vanilla. Banana was the best!
And I'm with the old lady (who's probably the same age I am!) who said chocolate sodas... that and the chocolate milk drink in glass bottles called "Brownie." :)

I would love to see the Marathon candy bar brought back! Do you remember that one? It was about 4 or 5 inches long ; It was chocolate covered caramel. Kinda resembled a skinny piece of chocolate covered Swiss cheese.

When I was a kid, McDonald's ruled the neighborhood and every summer I could not wait for them to bring back my favorite annual drink....The Artic Orange Milkshake!
This was the best shake (and product in my opinion) that they every came out with. I have not seen it in many years. If I were to see a commercial bringing this item back, I would load up the minivan with the wife and kids and Supersize one for everybody.

Chocolate soda in the bottle. We used to be able to get it at the gas station up the road for 5 cents. Does that show my age or what?

I am lucky and have a sweet shop near me that sells most of my childhood sweets.
I love shrimps, banana's, black jacks, hard Spanish. my list is endless. :-)
Most of the sweets people have mentioned before my comment I can get, I have never seen spangles in the shop though.

I loved "bubbly" chewing gum and the one that was like a bag of gold-?golden nuggets. Texan bars were good but tiny when they came back last year as ltd edition. Fish 'n chips crisps were really vinegary-made my eyes water.
