The chain of logic goes like this:
Jesus, along with God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit, always was truly God.
By virtue of his human incarnation and his resurrection, Jesus is now, and will for all eternity, be both true God and true man.
Not one or the other.
Not a confused mixture of the two.
Although he took on flesh and lived as a man, Jesus never ceased to be God.
Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is God.
God was born in human flesh.
Mary bore him.
Mary is the Mother of God.
If Mary gave birth only to the human nature of Jesus, than Jesus would have ceased to be God, when he took on flesh.
That is certainly not the case.
The one who emerged from Mary's womb, truly was God, in the flesh.
Mary is the mother of God.
You can work this out fifty different ways, and it always comes out the same.
Mary is the Mother of God.
Get over it!

Mary, gave birth to Jesus, God in human form. She was a vessel. The child was not conceived by normal biological means. Jesus was placed their by God. So she was just entry point to the mortal world. She was a human like all of us, and yes, (I know some may get mad) but she was a sinner too. For the bible says the only human to walk the earth without sin was Jesus.

The Catholic Church teaches that by a free decision of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary was elevated to become the Mother of His Son Jesus Christ and Jesus' worthy associate in redeeming mankind. She was prepared for this role by being preserved by God's grace from all sin, original and personal, throughout her entire life, and was rewarded at the end of her life for her cooperation with God's plan by being taken up, body and soul, into Heaven, where she reigns with her Son as Queen of the Universe, and whence she distributes to men all the graces which, with, through and under her Son, she helped to merit on Calvary.
However, Catholics do not at all make Mary equal to her Son, for He is true God, and she, though the most exalted of all creatures, is still only that-a creature. Only Jesus Christ, because he is both God and man, can be the perfect Mediator between God and men, and could offer to the Father a sacrifice of infinite value on behalf of the human race of which he was fully a member. The sacrifice which He offered was completely sufficient to redeem mankind; Mary's cooperation was added not out of any necessity, but completely out of the marvelous generosity of our heavenly Father, His great love for us and for her. Finally, only Jesus Christ is Redeemer and Mediator by his own power. In all things, Mary works with, through, and under to her Son, completely dependent on Him.

Mary was a virgin woman who God came to and told her she would give birth to his son ans she became pregnant. She gave birth to Jesus Christ (the son of God). Thereore giving her the name "Mother of Christ"
Since Jesus was the son of God she is sometimes refered to as "Mother of God". This is done to reflect the birth of a holy child.

The moment you remove the dogma that tells God need to be in human form, then you'll see that Mary was no different from our own mother.

As I understand it, she was the mother of Jesus in much the same way that your mother is your mother. and just so you know, this doesn't mean that God had sex with her. if we can artificially inseminate, don't you think that God can too?

mary-a.s was the mother of a messiah named jesus-pbuh, a prophet of God. and do not doubt her for she is exalted.
Quran surah maryam 19:12-27
it was said unto his son meaning the son of elizabaeth- john the baptist -pbuh
john -pbuh is john the baptist who wrote injil meaning bible.
12 (And it was said unto his son): O John! Hold fast the Scripture. And we gave him wisdom when a child,
13 And compassion from Our presence, and purity; and he was devout,
14 And dutiful toward his parents. And he was not arrogant, rebellious.
15 Peace on him the day he was born, and the day he dieth and the day he shall be raised alive!
16 And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East,
17 And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her Our Spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man.
18 She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from thee, if thou art Allah-fearing.
19 He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son.
20 She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste?
21 He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained.
22 And she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place.
23 And the pangs of childbirth drove her unto the trunk of the palm-tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died ere this and had become a thing of naught, forgotten!
24 Then (one) cried unto her from below her, saying: Grieve not! Thy Lord hath placed a rivulet beneath thee,
25 And shake the trunk of the palm-tree toward thee, thou wilt cause ripe dates to fall upon thee.
26 So eat and drink and be consoled. And if thou meetest any mortal, say: Lo! I have vowed a fast unto the Beneficent, and may not speak this day to any mortal.
27 Then she brought him to her own folk, carrying him. They said: O Mary! Thou hast come with an amazing thing.
