No, but I've thought about the validity and the morality of it.

I could write pages about it, but I suggest you read "The Myth of Sysiphus" by ALbert Camus. It conclusively proves why life is worth pirsuing even when it has no inherent value

In my teen years I went through a pretty nasty period of depression. I attempted to attempt suicide on several occations. At the time, my first nephew was just a toddler, but I was already head over heels in love with the little tyke. Thinking about not being able to see him grow up broke my heart.

Yes, when I lost everything in one night. I changed my mind because of God. I was redirected and see the more pathetic people in another side of the world that need me. So I bucked up and refocused again, I start everything from stretch because I found true meaning and goal in life.

Yes, I have. Several times. Honestly, what stopped me was knowing that since I mess everything else up in life, I would mess up trying to kill myself. So, I know I'd end up drooling in a wheelchair or something for the next 50 years.

Yes.And all the people I have asked admitted they had too.
When I started paying attention to my self-talk and changed it, the problem was solved. So now, it doesnt matter what i receive, good or bad, just repeat the positive self-talk a few times, and you are up and raring to go ! Cheers!

Yes, but then I think of my son and I can t do that to him.
It would be a very selfish act on my part. Family members love me and would be devastated. So I have come out of it and got strong because of those thoughts.

Only when I was taking Paxil. I changed my mind about dying and got off the drug. Now I feel fine.

I felt stupid thinking about killing myself. How pointless!

it's a great question. I think that more than chaning on'es mind, there is a natural difucilty in actually doing it. You just have to get thru one day at a time

When I feel down, I remind myself that there are many people who are a lot more unfortunate than I am, and that I should stop feeling sorry for myself and carry on. Was it Winston Churchill who said "When you are going through hell, keep going"

I think almost everyone has at one point in their lives. Whatever happens in life or how down you are, it will get better. Life sucks sometimes. I don't want to kill myself, but I have had horrible experiences in my life. I think more about if I were gone, who would miss me? How have I affected others in my life? It makes me feel better.
