Depends on the situation. Personally for me, if I do the cooking, I also do the cleaning. Not everybody may do it that way though, especially married couples where in a good marriage all household duties including cooking and cleaning would be shared. But then again, I am single and live alone, so it doesn't really apply to me, lol..

I think that in a healthy relationship, they should share this, if one does all the cooking, then the other should at least HELP with the dishes and things around the house. But in my opinion, the woman should do the biggest part of the cleaning, but if the other person would pick up after himself, then this is not that bad of a job

Only the cleaning during the cooking. Then the other person should clean up afterwards.

Wish it were not so, but sadly every time I cook I seem to be left with all the cleaning afterwards. I solve part of it by washing dishes as I go and then I only have what is on the table when I get ready to wash the dishes. I'm to poor to have a dish washer.

Are we talking about the cook we hired here? If so, no unless you have agreed otherwise. But again, a cook cooks not cleans.

If there's two people there and one cooks, the other should do the dishes. Especially if they're cooking from scratch. Now, if they're using that half-as*ed boxed stuff, they could do the dishes just as easily. But there should definitely be a 50/50 division of labor.

yes, as the fundamentals of cooking are to be cleaning while you cook. Chefs sometimes say "a, b, c - always be cleaning." if you clean up while you cook it's not such a chore afterwards

Depends. I have a full time job and do chores around the house. My wife is a stay-at-home housewife. She cooks and cleans. It is a part of the job.

If we both had full time jobs, we'd split the house chores evenly.

In the end, we both put in 14 hour days.

I need a nap....

Keep smiling!

I do the cooking, enjoy it and like to clean up after myself. My wife often asks if she can take care of things after dinner but I actually find it sort of relaxing.
