Congratulations! She will be just fine. And unless she gets spooked she will still be in the same place when you get home. After the kittens are weaned is a good time to have her spayed. Good luck

Don't worry about it - mama and babies will be fine. The only thing that might happen is that she might move them, but that's okay. It was smart of you to leave the bunny hug out. As much as it is tempting, DO NOT touch the kittens for a day or two. Even then, talk to the mom and just stroke the kittens a little while she is nursing them - make sure she doesn't feel threatened. When you get home, make sure mom has food and water near her - and any treats that you might usually give her (like chicken, or something). She's been through a lot and will be tired. Depending on how many she has, she'll be really tired and won't want to do much except sleep, eat, and nurse. Make sure you pet and love the mom lots - she did a good job, talk to her. Again, I know it's tempting, but the more you bug her kittens, the more she will feel threatened. Once you get home, try to move them into a box with the mom - one that mom can get out of fairly easily, and even put a light sheet overtop - mom will be still able to get out. That will give them privacy. Don't be surprised if the mom tries to move the kittens - then you just gently take the kittens back to where they are supposed to be and mom will follow. Mom cats are stubborn, but just keep a watch on them.

Probably everything will be fine. Ask your friend to make sure she is in a cool safe secluded spot. The best place would be indoors, with a safe private place like a box or closet to crawl into, or under the bed. It's best not to move her or the kittens, if you can help it, but if you absolutely must, put on gloves before you touch any of the kittens. Put a water dish near her, but not so close the kittens can get into it.

If she is a happy healthy and well loved cat, she will be just fine until you return. Cats have been having kittens by themselves for a long time, and seeing that she is still in the house having the kittens, she must trust you, because most of the cats that my granny has goes into the shed and hides to have their liters.
Congratulations!

Stray cats have kittens with no problems so she should be fine. And you can have people check on her, but not too much. Especially if she doesn't know them. It will cause her stress. You don't want her to keep trying to find new places to hide to get away from strangers or she may leave a kitten behind.

It's okay. Don't panic. Your cat will be meowing pitifully for awhile. What I did was shut my cat in the laundry room (its easily the most cleanist and driest place in the house) for awhile the meowing went on. But then it stopped. She gave birth to 5 kittens! Unless your cat has a defect or something, I suggest you not worry about it. If its a premature birth call a vet explaining your problem.

no. you should try to leave work now, and get a box with warm blankets for you cat to lay in. tell your boss the situation, and that you have to leave work Early. hopefully she'll understand.
when the box is prepared, get a beach towel, and a whole roll of paper twoels ready. get a warm, clean rag. you should have a weighing scale for the kittens to record how much they weigh. get you friend to help you with the birth of the kittens, so she can also help you record the information about the kittens on paper.

Yeah she should be okay. Cats have been having kittens without human assistance for a very long time.

She probably will, but sometimes there's complications. Just make sure your friends have a vet's number, because if there actually are complications, your friend's may not be able to do anything. If it was me, I wouldn't care about work, I'd run out to see my cat!

No she needs care and can't be alone for 24 hours after the birth. I had to deliver my kittens and the vet told me to care for her by giving her blankets and fresh water and fresh moist cat food all the time. for 24 hours.
