first:
Napoleon and Hitler both failed to conquer Russian because people Russians didn't have many weapons (we could say that they got 1 weapon for 6 men, each time a man died, the next one took the weapon) but there were many and many men and women to fight and protect their country.
And because their attacked in winter, french and German solders didn't got ready to face a freezing winter( no special clothes, shoes...)

thirdly:
first front was in Europe against Hitler but the war began the September, 1th 1939 by the invasion of the Poland by the Wehrmacht
second front was the Japan after the Pearl Harbor bombing the December,7 1941

The Second War became world from 1942 in Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and in every seas
