I think it has to do with everything that happens.
I use it to win most arguments with my friends. It is quick and dirty. It does the job. I can be aggressive, or I can also be a coward. Either way, I have never lost a debate using flight or fight.
Why is the theory so powerful, yet as creationist claims that this is not evolutionary. Where did this come from? My soul?
Why would god want me to fight?
Why would got let me take flight?

reverance, your in line for the points.
What is beyond the danger portion of the theory? When danger is only a perception.

The fight or flight response is only applicable to danger. When people are in danger they revert to animalistic thinking, and they either fight back or attempt to get away. This responses would not come up during a non-violent argument.

There are many things evolution can't explain, like why do men have nipples. For sexual arousal of course. But anyway back to flight or fight. It is a physiological reaction to an unknown situation, why would God not want to give us a mechanism to protect ourselves against danger. If it wasn't in place at creation, and people couldn't react to a potentially dangerous situation with fight or flight, in that case they would have probably died out and you would be here asking this question. I also believe this mechanism could be a result of the conditions brought on by sin in the world. Before sin entered in man lived in a benevolent environment and there was no need of that mechanism, but the ability was there. We must remember God has fantastic foresight and can plan ahead.

Why would God let me take flight?- The bible tells us that in the case of sexual temptation (lust for male or female) we are to flee from it. It is not a battle we can win, if we are tempted and desire to do this, we must flee from the temptation.
Why would God want me to fight?- For us fight means to defend. So of course we are to defend our beliefs, by many different ways, by the way we live each day and by our words.
When faced with any type of confrontation, not just physical harm, we employ one or both of these reactions. Not always to the same degree, but we do use them.
An argument or disagreement between a man and wife will also employ one or both of these reactions. Men tend to take flight (silence) and women tend to want to fight ( talk). THis is a tendancy, not an absolute.
Where did this come from?- As with all things, created by God. But important to understand that we brought this and all other unhealthy things upon ourselves with the introduction of Sin into the world. Adams first deed after his eyes were opened to the knowledge of right and wrong, was to fight (blame eve for what he himself had done right along with her).
Prior to this there had been no disagreements between them, they lived in harmony with each other and the animals. Something we no longer have on this earth.

Actually, it is not a theory, it is an autonomic nervous system response to a perceived threat. Based on the physiological arousal that occurs, we are prepared to either engage in a fight with the entity making the threat or to run away (flight). The decision which one to do is what constitutes the cognitive and, hence, uniquely human component.

In most cases this will work. Many use it but eventually there will be the one that will just walk up to you and knock your teeth out. Be careful about how you use it. Nothing wrong with flight but giving the other the choice man hurt you. Most people don't want to fight but there are a few that welcome a chance to fight. Have fun.

It's a reaction to the sympathetic autonomous nervous system that will be triggered in threatening situations.
I think God wants you to take a deep breath and then use your reason.
