About 4 months ago I started dating an old friend, and we have gotten serious pretty fast. My roomate (male) tells me he thinks we're great together, yet is consistently rude to my boyfriend. My boyfriend told me he doesn't think my roomate likes him very much. I think it may be jealousy (my roomate and I have never even come close to being more than friends) and I don't know how to deal with it. How can I make the situation better without ruining either relationship?

okay i hate to break it to you, but he probably hooked up with her and that is why ther is all that hostility there. sorry. break it off and cut your losses.

How to make it better?
First of all you need to figure out why your roomate is acting the way he is. Could it be he knows something about your B/F that he is not telling you?
Could it be your roomate is in the closet about his sexuality and is acting the way he is to fight the urge to jump your B/F's bones?
But if you can't/won't find out why, then don't bring you B/F over to the apartment anymore, go to his place.

It could appear to your boyfriend that your roommate wants you for himself, and that you are open to that. Not because your roommate is rude, but because you might not be showing much concern yet when it happens.
Ask your roommate to stop being rude. If you and he are just friends, especially if the thinks you and your boyfriend are "great together," he has no business being rude.
If he thinks otherwise, find out why.

you can still be friends with your roommate, and still be going out with your b/f, they dont need to like each other.
