my explorer kind of thumps when i come to a stop sometimes ,does anyone know what that could be ??two mecanics said it was nothing but it bugs me...

Your front brake rotors are out of round. This happens when the
calipers heat up the rotors and they can't disapate the heat fast enoungh.
