If you have to ask if the time is right, then it's not. You will just know it is right. Don't rush into anything and don't be influenced by peer pressure or be embarrassed that you're a virgin.
When the time comes, if you are still questioning if the time is right, don't do it.

old fashioned advice says when youre married.
the thing about that that makes sense is that's absolutely the only way you know that the guy youre with is doing it for you too, not just for himself, because he was willing to make a committment to you- even if it doesnt last forever.
otherwise you think he cares, because he'll pretend that he does, until he's got you, then he'll be gone because to guys being with a (young) woman is not serious, but just a game
i sound like a pessimist, i know, but i think that to the young and inexperienced people make sex seem like its way more casual and insignificant than it is- for a girl, it likely will change your whole life into something that you are better off not ever experiencing.

When you are ready to be a parent and / or deal with an STD. No matter the protection, it could happen. If you don't think you can handle either one, then don't do it!
