the baby simply grows to about the size of a 16 month and stops growing phisically. The body will maintain the shape and form of the 16month old. I believe there was a person who was with Jim baker and Tammy on thier TV program at one time who had this medical afflection

What it sounds like is commonly referred to as "failure to thrive," but occurs typically, earlier than 16 months old. How old is the child? Have you consulted a pediatrician??? Please, please DO. Be well.

Yes there are numerous reasons why a child would just quit developing. Without tests to determine what is wrong, even doctors are just speculating.

It's just a more advance stage of 'dwarfism'. Which is a common birth defect.
