Depending on your gender, some treatment of candida infections are topical creams, oral medications, and/or pessaries. You can get these on prescription or over-the-counter, depending on where you live.

Natural Treatments
There are plenty of therapeutic programs to help with the elimination of candida. It's important to begin all supplements with small doses and then gradually increase the amount. When candida are killed, they release protein fragments and toxins that can trigger an antibody response from the immune system. This results in a temporary worsening of symptoms called a die-off or Herxheimer reaction.
Many people begin to notice improvement in their symptoms after two to four weeks.
Diet
The following dietary measures are part of the standard diet to control candida:
Allowed foods are beef, chicken, eggs, fish, yogurt, vegetables, nuts, seeds, oils.
Eliminate refined and simple sugars – no added sugar of any kind, including white or brown sugar, raw sugar, honey, molasses, or grain sweeteners. Stevia is an allowed sugar substitute.
Eat lots of raw garlic
Avoid milk
Avoid alcohol, fruit or dried fruit, mushrooms.
Avoid foods that contain yeast or mold – this includes all breads, muffins, cakes, baked goods, cheese, dried fruits, melons, peanuts.
Increase fiber – One teaspoon to one tablespoon of soluble fiber containing guar gum, psyllium husks, flaxseeds or pectin can be mixed in an 8 oz glass of water two times per day on an empty stomach.
Vitamins & Nutritional Supplements
Acidophillus – One capsule containing the probiotic lactobacillus acidophilus can be ingested daily. Acidophillus controls candida by making the intestinal tract more acidic to discourage the growth of candida, and by producing hydrogen peroxide, which directly kills candida. Reasearch has shown that supplementing with a hydrogen peroxide-producing strain of acidophillus, DDS-1 can greatly reduce the incidence of antibiotic-induced yeast infections. These beneficial bacteria control an help to restore the microbial balance within the digestive tract.

If you mean thrush in the vagina then Canesta as already mentioned, or Diflucan, a pill wich can be bought over the counter. You could try natural live yoghurt on a tampon, it also helps to eat it (the yoghurt, not the tampon!). However, you can also get candida in the gut and for this you are best to see a specialist in alternative medicines who will often look at your diet and suggest ways to get rid of it by eliminating certain foods.

Candida as in yeast? I found that a product called RePhresh, found in the women's sanitary section of the pharmacy works wonders. It helps maintain the body's natural PH level. If you are talking about something other than a yeast infection, I'm sorry I can't help.

no, its not necessary. Creams or an oral pill are usually used. In Candida in an infant, oral drops called nystatin are used to clear it up. Most places sell the cream without a prescription.

You have to go to your doctor to check if you have it, but honestly their tests always come out clear when you have read everything and you just know you have it.
They say the best way is to go on a diet that will kill it - but for me I just find it too hard to give up all the foods I enjoy and love for example booze and chocolate.
I hope you make a go of it - they say you notice results! Good luck.

If you mean thrush, then Canestan Cream is good for it, otherwise consult a Dr. I don't think you have to specifically clean your body as long as you have good general hygiene.
