i am good in school [ straight A's ] but all my friends and even my mom and sister think im weird but i take being weird as a compliment because i like it but i dont like it when my mom and sister calls me weird waht should i do?

Sounds like they're jealous. Just understand they are sick (spiritually), pray for them when they are mean, don't take it personally because they can't help it, and go on with your bad self. Straight A's are normally admired, it shows you have smarts and dedication to learning. I will tell you this, I grew up with a family like that and it is vital you get yourself into an environment that will support you. Find out what local church has a large youth group, and call them. Since I'm pretty sure your family are not attending a church, you can let them know that and they will arrange for someone to come get you. You really have to do something like this becuase they will eventually kill your zest for life. Remember, just because they are family doesn't mean they are right. Not by a long shot. To thine ownselves be true. Believe that!!

Weird means something different to everyone who uses it. I define weird as being out of the mainstream of what other's perceive normal to be. That isn't a bad thing-it means you think for yourself. It is difficult when those close to us call us names but if it bothers you, tell them it does and ask them not to do it. Great job in getting straight A's! Keep it up!

I think you probably have more talent and like different things than your mom and sister. You are probably better in school than your sister and friends. If you like studying and homework, that bothers them too. They should NOT called you weird. It would bother me too.

If everyone around you is calling you weird then you should change your style. I'm not saying follow the crowd your whole life, but you need to change. Try a style that you like and everyone else finds cool.

say thank you and tell them your just happy to not be stupid. they should get the idea without you directly calling them names. you're a smart girl you can come up with something. why does your mother call you names, she has to have something wrong with her. you keep getting good grades and go to college and get as far away from these people as you can. if they can't appreciate your brains and personality than you are too good for them anyway.

I guess it depends on what they are calling you wierd for. I would imagine they call you wierd right after you do something, right? If you don't want them to call you wierd, stop doing those things.
