I met this guy back in April but because we dont live in the same city we didnt get together again until August 5th. Since then we have gotten together one more time and we are scheduled to go out this weekend. I really like him. We have so much in common in terms of our careers and he has a great job and is very sweet. Last weekend we only made-out and he (and admittedly I) wanted to have sex. I said I couldnt because I like him and dont want to ruin it and he was completely accepting and understanding. My question is...should I have sex with him this weekend, given that I do want to, or is it too soon? I'm puzzled by this because the next two weekends either he or I will be busy and might not see eachother. So do it this weekend...or wait until we are five weeks into the relationship?

Are you an adult, if so, then follow your heart on this. But if you do have sex, use protection.

Gurl. My advice:no.
Wanna now why? Of course he's sweet, U only met him 1 or twice. all man R sweet first time they wanna go to bed with u. See if he's sweet and understands u if u say no! Go in the journey or whatever together but don't have sex. Can u do it? For u, not for me!Let him know that u're attracted to him but u have to be sure. U're not an animal only with instincts.U have brain I suppose. Sorry if I offend U. Date him at least 10 times but not 1 day after the other...like 10 dates in 2-3 months. see what happens, if he presents u this period of time to his friends. If not...either he has another girl either....i don;t know. Just take care of u not to get broken hearted.

Well you're an adult if you want to than go ahead, but since you're asking for opinions I wouldn't, I would wait til the next weekend. You really don't know anything much about him unless you chat online or talk on the phone which you don't mention anyway in the details.

Either which way you already have it considered ruined once you do have sex. So just follow your brains and heart I guess.

Do you know what you sound like? Listen to yourself...so do it this weekend or wait until we are 5 weeks into the relationship.
5 weeks isnt enough time and you've only seen him a couple of times. Not even enough to say you've been going out for 5 weeks.
You dont want to seem like a whore! No offence... All guys do want to have sex but you have to really get to know that person more than you know yourself.Spend actual time with this man.
And marry him if you want to have sex.

Good question but I think only you can really answer this because you know him and you are both adults and I admire the fact you both waited this long and he was accepting of your decision. He may be thinking it's just a matter of time and hoping it will take place this time. Go with your heart and gut feelings, if it feels right and you can live with the consequences after just in case that's all he wants. I hope not for your sake. Trust your real feelings it always worked for me. Good Luck in what ever you decide.

where did this 5 week rule come from? i think if you feel comfortable doing it then go ahead. but remember that you don't really know him that well since you've only met a few times. there are probably lots of things to talk about before you get between the sheets. while it may be physically gratifying if you make him wait a little, ,you can find out if he's really committed to building something worthwhile with you.

No matter how bad you feel like you want to, try to be strong and wait. You could feel his manhood and things like that, but don't engage in any real sexual acts just yet. Especially if you want to form a long term serious relationship. Bottom line, guys want what they can't have. We all know that. Tell him that he does turn you on and so forth, but you just feel like you will be disrespecting your self and going beyond your morals and beliefs if you do it. And if you decide to go ahead and have sex, he may infact think you are too easy and do this with all guys you meet and date. No matter what you do, keep your gaurd up and always be safe about it.

If you want to have sex just because your body wants to, then No.

If you think you know this guy well enough and that having sex with him will further deepen your relationship and bring you closer together and you are both willing to make a committment to each other, then Yes.

If I were you I'd talk over the consequences of having sex with each other and talk about what purpose having sex with each other will serve.

I do not think you know this guy well enough to be having sex. Just wait a month, give it time to see where it goes. Making out is part of the fun to leading up to sex. Curiousity will keep this relationship exciting.

You want to have sex with a man you just started seeing because you LIKE him?

What do you know about this character? His background? His family? What about how this man treats others; You?

Is this how YOU always behave? I say get to know each other better. One of you may find out the other is quite the scoundrel.

Waw! Is Europe catching up with Africa? When I was a youngster, we'd wait like 4months before the big shag. Now Five weeks? At this rate you'll catch up in two decades and then...I'll have to move back...
