I love that he is so into baseball- as I love it as well. I don't mind if he watches games every night that we are at home, but for instance, last night we were at his parents house and he sat on the couch listening to the XM Radio coverage of his favorite team the whole time. I wanted to be home by 11 because I had a huge day at work today, and we were a half hour late because he just HAD to hear a couple more innings. Like I said, I don't mind that he loves baseball, but I feel he's losing sight of other important things out there.

(By the way, last night was just ONE example. There are plenty of others...And he's a great guy, so I dont need advice on any other part of the relationship...just this)

What I always tell my wife would you rather me be obsessed with drinking or drugs or women or something else worse when it comes to my obsession with football. So in the big picture its not as bad as it could be. Also football is only on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays and in the fall so its not nearly as long as the baseball season.

She has made the comments to me that football is more important then your family which when it comes down to it obviously family is more imporant but I do plan things around football (ex. my daughters birthday party is the same day as the Ohio st-Penn St game and they didnt announce a time yet and I am hoping that it is at night but if they did announce a time I would do my best to schedule around it)

I would say cut him some slack the season is winding down and the games are more important now. If he does this through out the whole year you might want to mention something to him but for now I would just make little comments about it but dont get on his case. All in all is a 1/2 hour late here or there really that big of a deal in the big picture.

Just think you have a great idea of what to get him for his next present XM radio that he can have in his car so you wont have this problem again

You have a right to your feelings. You can't change him so your choices are either get rid of him or figure out a way to make it less frustrating for you.
