I am looking for a great place to watch the sunrise as an I'm sorry breakfast for me and my girl. I am willing to drive up to 2 hours. Thank y'all so much!

The best places to watch the sunrise are places where there are few or no obstructions.
The park on Highway 6 south (from I-10) would be a start. It's at the Buffalo Bayou dam. Heading south it will be on the right hand side. The best viewing will be from sitting on top of the levy. If this isn't to your liking continue south on Highway 6 and make a right onto Westheimer/FM 1093, just past Best Buy. ..and another right at the light where the Shell station is...goes into another park. In the park make a left at the light (Barker Cypress). Go past the soccer field entrance down to where the "lake" is on the left hand side. You'll see quite a few ducks and geese plus some picnic tables.
I haven't watched a sunrise from either location but I do think either one would be nice.
Good luck! :)

You don't really say if you will "have" to commute into downtown Houston each day, but it sounds like you won't. I would suggestion either: The Woodlands like you mentioned. I have known several people who have lived there, one since the early 80's, and all have been happy with the area. Clear Lake or Seabrook area if you are a water lover. That's where I would go if I ever moved back to the area.

go down to galveston and then take the ferry over to bolivar peninsula. crystal beach has the best sunrises in s.e. texas.

if that is too far, then galveston is second best.

pack a breakfast picnic - bagels, cream cheese, strawberries, juice (maybe with champagne?) and if you need it, there is a new starbucks on 61st about a block before you hit the seawall.

it is a beautiful day in the universe!

Go down I-45 a lil ways towards dallas, and sit at the country area, that's the best place to view it. Anything too close to houston will give you lots of fog & won't look as good.
