i donated nothing because i don't have a job...but you're supposed to donate 10% of your income as a tithe and then anything over and beyond that.

I'm pleased to say I gave zero to churches. I put my giving to better use. I gave more than 10% of my income to the North Shore Animal League, The Humane Society of the United States, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, The Anti-Defamation League, The United Way, AIDS Research, UNICEF, Disabled Veterans of America and other assorted charities.

I am retired, and I tithe my Social Security check. At times I can also include my SSI check, tho I feel that it is optional, being a government donation to supplement my income.

That is not to include various love offerings, and a great deal of my time (time is money). I really don't think about these things.

I feel that tithing is pulling my share of the load.

Nothing because the Government is taking more than 10% any way and I am not agree with their political issues and the way they help others to use their own money to help the Jewish Stated to make more money, and promote more wards,

Probably about 0.2%. I would prefer to donate nothing to churches, but my wife does it.

and another 2-3% to other charities.

It's just money! We are not to be greedy when others are starving!

no wonder the churches are rolling in you money what do you get for it nothing all you do is pay the priests wages what a rip off the christians love paying for nothing but thay can not help it being brainwashed

10% to my Church and I am not certain of the percentage to charities but it was at least 5%.
