In high school, they expect more from you. It's not so much that the classes are harder...but they want you to be responsible. They see you as young adults and they expect you to keep yourself organized, and come prepared. The biggest difference between middle school and high school, is that they don't treat you like a kid anymore. You'll have more homework and more quizzes and tests, but the best advice I can give you, is to start organized and don't let it slide. If you keep math notes in a math notebook, and science notes in a science notebook, and have a certain place to put homework etc... you should be fine.

Yea but you're probably ready for it. It was harder for me, but middle school was exceptionally watered-down
No biggie, 9th grade is fun

Uh, I think every year gets harder doesn't it? Otherwise, why would they call it 8th and 9th grades? ;-)

It is different. They don't hold your hand anymore to make sure you do your work.
Also you will be a little fish in a small pond. So no matter what a BMOC in Jr. High you were, you will be a lowly freshman in high school.

I found the classes easier and the co schoolers a little bit more friendly and less judgemental.
