I also get those emails saying that I won the lottery in the UK. I was told that my email address won the lottery. I always thought that you had to play to win and I do not play the lottery here as I can not afford to buy the tickets. Whenever I get an email I just delete it off the computer as I found out that it is a scam.

It's a scam! You will never be contacted by email to confirm a lottery win. If you actually entered, you would be contacted by regular mail (usually a FedEx or similar) and/or by phone. Another indicator it's a scam is that they claim you have to pay a fee to collect your winnings.

Sounds like sucker bait. No. There's no free lotto. They have to sell tickets in order to get the money to pay the winners with.

If a random person sends you a letter from out of the blue saying you've won something then it's almost certainly a scam, ESPECIALLY if they say you have to pay some sort of fee to collect the prize.

Oh yeah of course it's real. Not. They want your social security number or something else so they can fraud you to death until you are living in a box and eating McDonald's scraps from an alley's dumpster.

Anything free is a scam, if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

I once got a check for $100.00 from freelotto. I was shocked so I would say that it could be true.
