Yeah that's not nice. Real Bible study isn't something most Christians think about I suppose. I'm just now trying to get into it myself, but I need to take classes. Anyway, yeah she should at least be able to see your reference.

Maybe shes just a young girl and thats all she knows at this point and shes trying to learn more, maybe !
As far as leviticus goes, thats an old testament story and there were different covenants,(agreements) between God and man throughout the Bible and there were maybe 9 in total so you need to understand what the covenant of the day was and what was going on in that time and thats true for a lot of the Bible stories, thats why there is so much confusion when it comes to the Bible. Not to many peopl are willing to spend the time required to learn and understand these things.
More importantly, when Jesus came onto the scene he challenged many if not all peoples beliefs, because he knew that he was the final covenant or agreement between God and man, and he would say things to high priest like I have come to break the laws of God so that all who believe in me will never die, and this would cause great disorder because these guys or priests spent all their lives studying and learning , detail for detail. so, understandibly, they were pissed off at Jesus. He also said things like from now on you have only two commandments and so again for the people who knew they had ten commands from God, this was very unsettling.

You're right and she's right. She should stop judging. And you should stop pasting together the Bible. Luke 4:18 & 19 Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed to proclaim the acceptable year of the lord." It was never God's intension that slaves should be mistreated. He also made for the release of the slaves every few years. Keep reading the Bible. God has sheep everywhere

The Bible is clear that Those who do not Believe in Jesus will not get into Heaven and this earth will pass away. Hell is eternally separation from GOD. She should show you GOD love for You by not condemn you, but help you understand that JESUS is the Way, the Thurth and the Light. That no man can come to the Father expect thru JESUS.

The thing is, a good Christian is supposed to live like Christ (hence the name). I don't remember Jesus telling anyone point blank that they were going to hell. he said that sinners are going to hell, but never Pontius Pilate, Judas, or the soldiers who nailed him to the cross.
The thing is that for some Christians, their faith is so delicate, and they feel that your splitting hairs to do nothing more than argue with them. it scares them because a lot of them have never really studied out their own faith. They listen to their pastor thump his Bible, tell them Jesus loves them and feel good. You make them think about what they believe and they get scared.
If their faith and knowledge of said faith is strong enough, they'll either ignore your question (if they think you're being argumentative), try to help you understand how they understand it, or explain it the way it should be explained.
There is just as much ignorance among Christians as they complain exists among atheists.

She's 18. Cognitive reasoning is not expected until at least age 15. It takes teenagers a little while to get the hang of it. Right now she's still spouting what her role models believe. Check again in a couple of years, literally. You might get her to shut up but it's going to take her a while to change the way she argues.

Isn't she going to Hell for Judging people? Judge not lest ye be Judged, so seems to me come Judgement Day she will have to answer for condeming people. Ok that isn't exactly the answer you mean but really can't resist pointing that out about people saying stuff like that. Although yes if she can't answer your questions she should shut up.

Hey Jim, your back.
Jim lets stop looking at the old testament and concentrate on the New Testament.
You know, Inaugurated 2000 thousand years ago.
Why do we want to study when the new was coming when it is already here.
Old is out, new is in.
Are you with me?
NEW NEW NEW.
Your tenacity reminds me of my brother in law.
He was about as tenacious as you.
He finally went insane.
He would never stop trying to argue, he went on and on.
Finally it happened, he shut up and retreated to his house and stopped talking to anyone. No family, no friends, no interests. Crazed to the world.

technically that is our belief, but no one really has the right or the need to tell others they are going to hell. stick to your beliefs if you want. and about the slaves, a lot has changed. you dont see us making burnt offerings either. and she should answer the questions to the extent that she can, and stop telling people they are going to hell, regardless of whether they are.
