Being a hairstylist, I think that lock maintence is probably why they look not so hot on some white women, but then there are balck women that dont do the proper care for theirs either, I have three white clients that have locks and if I must say so myself their dreads are kick ***, but like I said before you have to have the knowledge on the proper care for them if you want them to look hot.

I don't really like the dread look on anyone but dreadlocks on white women look dirty, to me. So I hate that look for them. I'd have to say black women. More specifically, dreads that have been dipped in color, look really good on black women.
White women can pull off braids of any style though.

Dreadlocks? That would have to go to black women. They should be the only women that have those because they have the hair type to form them. The rest of us don't have that kind of hair, therefore we shouldn't be trying to get them. Dreads on white women is just gross. It just looks like unkempt hair. =(

I dont like either one, but I think it's pretty when women get the really thin dreadlocks and at some color to them, like highlights in a way. I think it really just depends on the person, not the color.

I think they look better on black women, or even mixed (Lisa Bonet looks awesome with them) but I have seen a few white women with them who looked hot. It all depends on the person, and their personality...there are some people who can carry it off and some who can't.

I am white but it has to be black women. when their hair is in dreadlocks it looks well better than ours does.

I think dreads are ugly, if you're talking about those thick dirty rolls of hair. Cornrows are pretty on both races but better on black people.
