If you have a school that you prefer or want to support call their financial aid department and let them know that you would like to help struggling students and find out if you can set up a bursary program - where you set the terms and conditions of payout or if you can contribute to a general bursary that they already have set up. By doing this you can ensure that the funds will go to students that have demonstrated financial need or met some other criteria.

Actually, you don't want to give the money to the poor students; because if you did their would not be a bone in your body that would make you ask that question. When we truly want to do something, we always find it in our hearts to do it. On the other hand, when you have that little voice inside telling you, " oh what the hell, It's not my problem", you find yourself filled with guilt and shame and when you are in the company of these young people you feel bitter. Well, see if you can find it in your heart to give. You will receive 5x back from god. Have a good one.

Then why not let the middle class college students use it. Typically, the parents are the ones paying for the college education. The parents make too much money to get a whole lot of scholarships but still don't make enough to pay for their child's education.
Fortunately, I was able to go to college without having to take out any loans.

There is no bigger happiness in the world than that of gaining and imparting knowledge..
the best way to give money is to fund some one's education..
It's your decision whether you want to distribute a huge amount in basic education for masses, setting up an infrastructure...
or motivating a couple of hardworking students who are passionate for higher education in innovative fields..
As long as it is justified , utilised in the right manner... inspiring the beneficiaries to carry on the good work when they stabilise...it shall keep granting you the satisfaction of a lifetime till time immemorial...
Good thought if you are serious about it..!

I am working two jobs and going to school part time for a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. I became a widow in 1989 and had to bring up my sons alone. I am having trouble with making ends meet and could use money to pay for college books and other bills at home. I would appreciate any help. Thank you
