There is a difference between saying something to clarify the point so it is understood and saying some thing because you want some one to change . They may look the same to an existent but there is quite a different motive one from the other. I any way share the Bible so it can be hopefully clearly heard and thought about , and if some one is changed thats ok . The main reason to share is to point out clearly the biblical subject at hand. if you believe or dont thats up to you. I think the people who are at the listening end of an discussion often assume the motive of the speaker an are offended perhaps to easy .But that is life , but the more we do not assume of another the better off we will all be.On both ends of the talk

A true Christian following Christ's command is not trying to "convert" atheists, but just show them the love of Christ. You tell people about what you love and well, that's what I do. I just tell people of who He is and all the amazing things He has done for me because He loves me. God's 2 commands are to love God with all your heart and the second, love your neighbor as yourself. I don't convert anyone... I just share and then let the Holy Spirit work within that person's heart.

Because they are the lost sheep that need to be guided back into the fold....because christians have found the way, the truth, and the life, and they want to help others to find that one and only direction that will lead them to the light so that they will not have to live in darkness anymore...but the best part of all this is that the god of christianity have showed us what is beyond death and ahead of that because he himself has been there, done that....what other religion has prove that there is life after death?

no man can convert another man!
I was agnostic for 27 years, but the evidence for the Christ is overwelming.
Why do Christians try to convert others?
simple, we all die and eternal life is a reality, Heaven and Hell is real! But Gods desire is for all to be with Him.

Even as an atheist you belive in good and bad, dont you? Whats so difficult in beliving there is power behind it? Dont you think it makes sense?
Christians do that to wake you up from deep slumber that satan (bad) has put you to. They mean well. Practically if you try asking satan for something,he will do it for you but its not free! Try God, he will do it for you and its absolutely free my dear. Thats what christians want you to enjoy and there is no harm in that.

The same reason we try to convert Christians: we think they're wrong, and we're trying to help.

Because, for me anyway, I think going through life not believing in God, is a sad life indeed. I cry alot for you, and it's not because I'm a wishy-washy, cheesy wimp. I care for your soul, since that's the only thing that lasts in this world.

Personally, Its a choice. I chose to follow Christ is my life. If you don't then that's your choice, but I'm always willing to share my faith. Besides, God has already chosen the ones that will see the light.

Let's say you have a large family and some of your siblings don't believe that your parents are for real. What would you do if you love your brothers and sisters?

Think about it.
