It's the withdrawl.. I suggest that you try to spend the day by occupying yourself with activities that don't allow smoking.. go to a movie.. go to the mall, go to the bookstore.. go somewhere that you're not allowed to smoke. You're at the hardest point.. Surround yourself with people that care about you.. and they won't care that you're going to be in a bad mood all day. They'll be happy for your health.. Congratulations. Hope it works out for you.

I'll partially go along with the first answer. YOU have to know you want to quit. Take it day by day. You can tell yourself that if you can't handle it, you'll have a cigarette tomorrow. Well, by tomorrow, you'll have gone through another day without smoking and you'll be farther along your way and less inclined to smoke. As far as the anger, occupy yourself with something. Exercise, read, go to a movie...do anything. When you have too much time to "decide" to be angry, it happens. Just relax. You'll do fine.

Buy the nicotine patch! I quit smoking 5 weeks ago with the patch, and I havn't smoked since. The patch does a great job of reducing withdrawal symptoms, and will make you less agitated. Good luck!

Yay! You're over the famous "Three-Day Hump!" now all you have to do is think of a devilishly clever plan to obliterate all those who mock your decision (i.e. smokers).... OR.. you could put up No-Smoking Signs in your office or in your home.. People will get the hint. You could always sacrifice one of them just to put the point across though. Hehe. Good Luck!

its hard when youre around people that smoke... i have never smoked personally, but i watched my boyfriend quit cold turkey... hard stuff when your friends smoke and co workers smoke and everyone still thinks you do. im super proud of you for quitting.. it must be terribly hard and i have respect for anyone that can do it since i have seen what it puts a person through. when my boyfriend used to want to smoke bad, he would get a jolly rancher in his mouth and start doing something tedious... he made it and is healthier then ever.. so GOOD LUCK!

Forget the hard route. Talk to you physician about Chantix from Pfizer. It just came to market August 1 and is supposed to be about 40% effective in the first year.

If you don't wanna quit, its like, incredibly hard. Its wayyy easier once you truly want to quit.
If you have aggression, blow up some ice. Take big chunks and throw it off a balcony or like, onto the floor.
