If the doctor isn't worried about it, you shouldn't either. Those weight charts are AVERAGES only.

Well, I'm not sure about "regular" but my 20(will be 21 months on January 4th) month old weighs 31 lbs. and is 36 inches tall but that also puts him around the 95th percentile. Your daughter, for her weight, is below the 5th percentile. Which roughly means (at least)95 percent of girls her age weigh more than she does. How tall is she? Some babies are just smaller than others and it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong with them. How tall are you and her father? That plays a part in it. My husband is 6'5 so it's natural our son will be tall too. How is your daughter's diet? Is she eating well? If you're seriously concerned then you need to talk to her doctor about it. If they do not seem to care or you are not getting the answers you'd like then seek out a second opinion.

I have a 17 month old and we seem to have the same problem. My husband and I are worried because she seems to be stuck and not gaining more although she does eat a lot of healthy stuff. We figured she's just active and she'll gain when she needs to. I also think that those charts they show us at the doctor's office are skewed because a lot of kids now are overweight. They should just give us an average bmi and weight at that age. If she's healthy then that's okay. Anyway, give her more of whole milk, full fat cheese, yobaby and all those good fattening stuff for toddlers.

If the doctor isn't concerned, you probably don't need to be either. Usually they are fine if their height and weight are proportionate. My daughter is 2 and only weighs 22 pounds, but she is also small for her age height-wise. She just takes after me, because I am a small person, and was always a skinny child. She does well eating also. My daughters doctor just told me to keep her on whole milk, because at her last visit her height had gone up a bit more than her weight did.

Yes, those charts are only averages. She is not underweight if she's healthy and eats well and looks like a child. Don't give her too many vitamins, they strain the liver and kidneys; just once or twice a week is best. Have you noticed that her wee is really yellow after you give her vitamins? That's all the stuff her body didn't digest, and it puts extra strain on her filtering organs.

If she's eating everything you say, there probably isn't anything wrong, if her doctor is ok with it..don't worry..my ex's family are tall, so my first 2 were big kids, my current husband is Asian, and the last two aren't very tall, my 20 month old is wearing 18 months..genetics are a big part of child's developmental growth

If your doctor or pediatrician has checked to make sure she's not anemic, then it may be normal for her. You can try adding peanut butter with crackers or other types of slightly higher fat foods. I wouldn't do the sweet thing or you'll have problems later on.

My daughter is the same way. She is 2 and can still wear 12mo pants. As long as she is eating and getting all of her nutrients, I'd say there really isn't much you have to worry about.....she may just have a high metabolism.

Don't forget those averages include boys, who are usually bigger than girls. If the pediatrician says she's healthy, just relax.
