Is OK to not have relgion if relgion is one of those silly ones where you not eat meat and crap one day or blow people up because you can't have your own way.

Absolutely fine.
Preferable, in fact.

Why not live your life by the standards and morals in your head as opposed to those preserved in a book that can't be anything but out-of-date.

What would be great would be if religions were 'live'. People amended them to suit our ever-changing lives and ideals.
"You shall lie with mankind as you would a woman if you should feel the natural urge to do so; it is not an abomination, it's perfectly natural. You should not lie with mankind as you do a woman if you're drunk - that's a bad thing to do, even if it is your boss and you want that promotion." That's a modern rewrite of Leviticus 18:22

New commandment: "Thou shall charge thy iPod on the Sabbath day, for tomorrow thou shall need it on the commute into the office."

Perfect.

Yes, it is perfectly fine. But if you feel uncomfortable not believing in any religions then things like Taoism and Buddhism don't make you actually believe in a God but are still considered religions.

I don't really have a "religion". I've been labled a Christian, because I believe in Jesus. I've been saved by the blood of Jesus dying on the cross for me. I go to a non-denominational Church. I pray and have fellowship with Jesus, and go to Church. I tithe, and read my BIBLE. I am so much happier with God, because I was miserable in the world.

It depends on what you do and dont believe there is even a religion for people who dont believe in a anything. The question is... Is it ok to not know what religion you are?

Yes! One common theme I've found with most religions (Christian or not) is that you should live your life to the fullest and be the best person you can be.

Does life count as a religion?

Most people would probably say it is ok not to have one since they probably do not. As a Christian I would say no it is not ok. You should be a Christian and live a Christian life.

First you need to learn about the religion you are asking about then you can judge.

Note that not all religions are alike...

Long ago, there was a time before writing and speech.
People lived then - and there was no religion per-se.
