Is it safe to dab bleach on a cold sore to get it to go away quicker. I have a friend who does it all the time and it heals faster than anything else but could it harm your body?

I'm not a doctor but i do have common sense. Your friend is stupid and playing with her life. Bleach is very harmful. If u don't believe us read the warning label. then if u think its safe to put on your lip where the cold sore is then be my guess. If u want to get rid of a cold sore fast go to your doctor. They have this prescription ointment that works wonders in less than 5 days. I cant remember the name but it works for me.

Genital herpes:

Bleech will not do anything to cure a coldsore. It is a virus, and it just has to run its course. You can get the doctor to prescribe some topical cream but it doesn't really do a whole lot. I will tell you what I use, though, some Dr. Scholls foot powder and dab that on there. It dries it up, works very very good!!

bleach will harm your body, not only that but it can absorb in and damage your nerves. You should never allow bleach to contact your skin. Your friend may not have anything wrong now, but in a few years when there is damage to her nerves make sure that they tell the doctor about the bleach.

Even if it helps her it is not a good idea warered down to kill some bugs in an emergency Maybe????

Cold soars can easyle got rid off for YEARS see your Chemist/Drug Store whatever you call it and where ever you are.
Bleach concentraded can corse severe BURNS

Campho phenquic (spelling) is a great product. you should use that on your cold sore.

Well.. it certainly won't kill you so if your friend does it with good results, then try it... You could also PRICK IT and then put on neosporin. That works great also

put neosporen or carmex that's what my mom does. Bleach is poison. If it gets in your system it can kill you..
