Livin with my girl 4 six months now. Last week she started locking her cell phone. I have never gone through her phone. I think this is bad no matter how you look at it!

Yes, I did ask her and all she would say is it's no big deal. I said you didn't the first 6 months, why now. She said don't worry about it!

did she just learn how to lock it??
my friends and i used to lock our phones so it didn't dial in our purses. my friend dialed 911 once b/c she didn't know how to lock her phone...she locks up now.

i would look for more than just this one thing.

maybe she is feeling stifled in the relationship and is looking for some privacy.
i lived with a pevious bf for a while and he was very posessive and jealous. he would look through my phone, emails, etc. i even tried to keep a journal b/c sometimes i just had feelings i needed to get out and he would insist on reading it!!!!

i know that this was an extreme case, but it eventually led to me moving out b/c i couldn't have my own life. so, maybe she is feeling a little stifled and just wants something of her own.
this is common when people start sharing their lives together.

ask her about it. don't be accusing....just ask how the living situation is working for her... ask her if she is adjusting o.k. and is happy.
this will open up the lines of communication without accusing her or putting her on the defensive.

take care and i hope things work out!

Some girls just need privacy. I lock my phone from my husband because of the way me and my friends text he would get mad. My friends sends me pics of their mens privates and stuff like that. I honestly don't think she cheating. Now if she starts to make excuses to leave the house and gone long hours then worry.

Emm.. I think you should just ask her about the change "hey, why are you locking your cell phone now?" Simple. It could be something stupid like she pushes the buttons in her purse and randomly dials people or she could be hiding something. But if you've been living together you should just be able to ask her!!!
Communicate!!! You'll be able to tell with just that one little quick harmless question by her facial expressions/body language/and what she says what is going on.

You can't convict on such flimsy evidence and it just may be that she is going through some privacy and space issues. Please don't make yourself crazy with something that is probably not even an issue. I lock mine so if it is stolen I am protected and it doesn't go off in my purse. If you look for the worst it will surely happen...so go for the positive. Good luck!

doesn't mean she's necessarily cheating but could be that she doesn't want u 2 start looking in her phone, or answering it or maybe she doesn't want u to know who's calling or what's in it..

i sometimes keep my phone locked and it's so my 4yr old don't be calling people.. i keep it locked @ wk.. but some people lock thier phones so others can't look at thier pics, msgs or to view them as they come in..

why don't u just ask her about it.. and let her know it makes it her look suspicious..

Some girls lock their phones so it doesn't dial accidently while in her purse. I'd look for other signs.

all of you are lame. locking her phone i do it all the time cuz it dials when it is in my purse if it hits something. if you want this girl to leave him then tell him to go through her phone( she will be pissed) go through her things ( she will be pissed) piss her off enough she won't trust you and leave you.

Why not ask her why she has suddenly decided to lock her phone.

if that is the only thing that got you worried then you have nothing to worry about. but if it seems like other things are not right then you should consider finding someone else.
