If so then prove it. Dont quote the bible of any of that other crap you uneducated christians like to do to pretend that you know what youre talking about.

Just give me something sane that actually proves without a benifit of a doubt that there is a god. No creationisim either as there isa counterpoint against that.

Can you just prove to me that god exists in such a way that I will have no possible rebuttal.

youre not going to convert me (as Im already catholic, and one who educated in my religion enough that I dont go 100% crazy over it). I just want to understand where you biblethumping nutters are coming from.

Are you only willing to believe if there is proof? Why don't you hold other things to that same standard?

Don't get me wrong - I don't believe for a moment that there is a god. But my decision not to believe is not based on the fact that there is no proof for god. It's based on the fact that there is no evidence for god.

That's a VERY important distinction. There are many many things that I believe despite having no proof. I believe those things because I do have solid evidence for them. I admit that I might turn out to be wrong about them, and I have often turned out to be wrong in the past. But the best current evidence points to the truth of certain things and the falsehood of certain other things, and that's how we should make our decisions. Irrefutable proof is too much to ask, and furthermore, demanding proof leads one to believe too many false things.

I suggest that you scrap this question and replace it with a request to believers that they provide evidence for the existence of their gods. You'll find them just as unable to do that, but it's a more intellectually honest request than the request for an ironclad proof (which, again, you don't require for other beliefs).

Along with a lot of other people, that is the mistake that scientist make. Becuase there use to being able to percieve, measure, check and double check things like chemical, elements ect. But God (Jesus Christ) has puposely made it so that he cannot be proven scientificly. Yes! God is very much real. I got very very sick when I was younger; and the doctors, trained professional doctor and medical personel, had pretty much given me up for dead, they told my parents that I would die or be a vegatable at best (brain dead and body's alive or vise versa).
Thankfully due to some prayer from my parent, friends and family I'm alive to tell the story.
Honestly, the proof is all around you. Do you know a man that can put the planets in their orbit? That can make a planet?! That can make a tiny seed that sprouts fruits and plants and herbs? As scientist know or even just a normal person, it does'nt matter how many times you do an explosion or some other random event they wont get the same result twice and they wont form any planets or stars. Our world unlike and explosion or random event, our world is organized as in every thing is put in its proper plac. Random ness would suggest that sometimes maybe our nose should appear on our butt or some something crazy like that. But No our nose is always in the same place like the rest of our body parts. It should make sense that some one put everything in its proper place becuase randomness does not produce organized structures.
You or anyone else that thinks likewise are lacking wisdom, and wisdom can only be gotten from God. Yes we have a lot of knowledge but we need wisdom to know how to apply that knowledge.

James 1:5-If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Well, there's always Goedel's Ontological argument:

Definition 1: x is God-like iff x has as essential properties those and only those properties which are positive

Definition 2: A is an essence of x iff for every property B, x has B necessarily iff A entails B

Definition 3: x necessarily exists iff every essence of x is necessarily exemplified

Axiom 1: If a property is positive, then its negation is not positive.

Axiom 2: Any property entailed by — i.e., strictly implied by — a positive property is positive

Axiom 3: The property of being God-like is positive

Axiom 4: If a property is positive, then it is necessarily positive

Axiom 5: Necessary existence is positive

Axiom 6: For any property P, if P is positive, then being necessarily P is positive.

Theorem 1: If a property is positive, then it is consistent, i.e., possibly exemplified.

Corollary 1: The property of being God-like is consistent.

Theorem 2: If something is God-like, then the property of being God-like is an essence of that thing.

Theorem 3: Necessarily, the property of being God-like is exemplified.

Of course, most people have more than 'necessary existence' in mind when they speak of god.

Of course. Without God nothing else will exist. He is the First and the Last and the Originator of all things. You don't expect the whole universe which exists in perfect harmony to exist just by chance.

Those who are thoughtful will ponder that there must be an intelligent power to manage the smooth circulation of planets around its orbit such that they do not collide with each other. On a smaller scale, we know that a wooden table does not just assemble itself out of a tree trunk. It must be crafted out by a carpenter for it to finally exist. Similarly, God is the craftsmen of the whole universe on a much grander scale. He created us and He is the one who provides us with our sustenance.

The Earth does not just position itself on the right distance from the Sun just by chance. It is by the will of God the Earth is positioned in such a way that it is just right for life to thrive on it. Just take some time off to wonder and ponder at the beauty of our universe and its systems and you will realize that all of it exists because of the existence of an ultimate Creator. God is "something" that nobody can prove that it exists and at the same time nobody can prove that it doesn't.
At the end does it really matters? Whether God exists or not should not change us in anyway. As we should try to do good things and avoid evil things at the best we can regardless of whether God is there watching us.

Since you like me are Catholic, we both are considered bible thumping nutters by some people.

To me, if there is no God then there is no point in our very existence.

That is proof enough for me.

Since you are Catholic and asking this question, I would suggest you learn some more about your faith especially if you are not 100% crazy over it.

You can look here: www.catholic.com they have a d-board there as well

Peace and God Bless you!

Into an end, interior a deep depresion, He saved my existence (!!!) the very 2d I left away of all my deep needs... Bible: Invented by a group of writers that had nothing to do but to make stories. They never imagine that the stories would had become so famous one day, and that people would kill, follow, and die for them.

God, is different. For example to me my goddess is mother earth "Gaia", she gives me everything I need, rests on the winter, brings new life on the spring, etc. God to others is a feeling, my sister explains her personal good as uplifting, while the other sees him as almighty and scary. See, gods are personal, so even if we go to the same church we will see him differently.

God is not to be proven, but to be realised.
To find God you have to seek deep within.
You can prove you have a brain, but what of the mind, yet it's there. God is the driving force within your body, for you are not the body but the soul that dwells in that body. You are a spark of divinity of that same God all around and in each and everyone of us.

Well we cant answer your question because its all about faith. And it makes sense. Look outside and look around and i refuse to believe that a super nova occurd to make this wonderful earth. You must believe but yet some archeologists and historians do knwo that most of the things in the bible are fact but the rest they think are senseless are by faith.
