I hesitate to call it a disorder. But I can't stop eating! Is it an addiction, perhaps? I hate being fat, but I LOVE to eat. A colleague says she lost about 20 pounds recently, but goes hungry all the time! I can't do that! How can I just eat enough to lose weight and then change my eating habits to stay healthy?

I've done Jenny Craig, LA Weight Loss, Weight Watchers. Would Nutrisystem be any better? Do appetite suppressants work?

I'm an over eater. I've done a bunch of different diets and taken pills an they might work for a little bit but then I gained it all back and then some. There is no magic bullet for losing weight. I've recently decided not to diet anymore and just change what I eat. Now I eat more fresh fruits, veggies, no soda, hardly any junk food, don't eat out as much and I exercise more. Drink lots of water and don't eat the same things every single day. Change it up so that you and your body don't get bored. :)

Yea, I love to eat also but I just control myself. A lot of the time we eat just to eat, if you drank water or ate something healthy (ie: peanuts, fuit or granola) when youeat on compulsion, it would work wonders for your body.
Try meal replacements for breakfast or lunch and eat "healthy" snacks to increase your metabolism and most importantly exercise at least twice a week.
I was also told that you should allow yourself a regular meal once a week, be it during lunch or dinner, but you shouldn't eat after 8 pm. If you feel hungry after that time, drink liquids (water, smoothies...) or eat fruit.

Hi
I tried this simple plan and believe me it really works so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Good luck

Yes I was bulemic for 30 years and beat it by changing my way of eating to low carb. No longer do I feel the need to purge my food as I never gain when I stick to plan. Never have I been more healthy too.
