It varies a lot -- depends on how big (size of the pizza), what toppings, etc.

There is no single answer. Here's some examples - range from 190 to 640 calories per slice.

Depends on size of slice, toppings, thick crust, or extra cheese. An average slice of cheese pizza that I eat is about 350 calories a slice.

The calories in a slice of pizza varies depending on the size of the slice, the thickness of the crust, and the toppings.

For example,

-- One serving (one slice) of Pizza Hut cheese pizza with a thin crust has 225 calories. Based on one-eighth of a 14-inch pizza.

-- One serving (two slices) of Pizza Hut Supreme with pan-style crust has 622 calories.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. And so as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.

Can pizza be a part of a healthy diet? You bet your sweet bippy! Though it depends on what type of pizza that you purchase, the following guide provides a pretty good idea of just how many calories that slice of pizza will cost you. All calories are calculated 'per slice'. If you order 'regular crust' add 60 calories per slice. If you order 'pan pizza' add 120 calories per slice. Pizza should yield 8 slices.

Calories in Thin Crust Pizza
Cheese Pizza, 230 calories per slice
Pepperoni Pizza, 290 calories per slice
Sausage Pizza, 280 calories per slice
Meat-Piled High Pizza, 350 calories per slice
Veggie Pizza, 215 calories per slice
Spinach Alfredo Pizza, 240 calories per slice
Be sure to count the calories as part of your diet.

Keep in mind that the thicker the crust, the higher the cheese, the more meat that is piled on, and the increase in olives ups those calories in a big weigh. Or is that way???

What is a calorie?:

A calorie is a measure of energy, the capacity to do work.

Science defines the calorie as the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius.
In the laboratory, the calories in a food are determined by measuring the amount in 1,000-calorie units called kilocalories. But in everyday language this term has been shortened to just "calorie" when the amount of energy in food is described. Thus, a 165-calorie bagel is really 165 kilocalories.

How many calories do you need?:

Your body needs energy for maintenance, growth, and physical activity:

The number of calories you need depends on your height and weight as well as your age, body size, physical condition, and physical activity. Younger adults require more calories than older adults. Active people require more calories than inactive people.

... When the food you eat provides more calories than your body needs, the excess calories are stored as fat and you gain weight.
For example:
- If you need 3,000 calories and you eat 2,000, you will lose 1,000 calories, about 100 grams (a little more!, because a gram of fat has 9 calories).
- If you eat 1,000 calories more, you will gain 100 grams of weight stored as fat (a little more!).
1 pound is 450 grams.

For maintenance means your basal metabolism: The energy needed by your heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, etc. even when you are sleeping. Basal Metabolism Calculator:
A thumb rule:
- For males: Body weight x 12.
- For females: Body weight x 11.
A person needing 1400 calories can obtain them by eating:
- carbohydrates: 188 grams (55%)
- proteins: 51 grams (15%)
- fats: 45 grams (30%).

Calculator for All Calories needed:
Including basal metabolic rate, plus energy expended during physical activity, plus the thermic effect of food.
The Calculator gives the data having in account the age; Activity:sedentary, moderate and active; and gender:
As a thumb rule:
- For males:
- Sedentary activity: Body weight x 13.
- Moderate activity: Body weight x 15.
- Active activity: Body weight x 17.
- For females:
- Sedentary activity: Body weight x 12
- Moderate activity: Body weight x 14
- Active activity: Body weight x 16.

Calories of Foods:

Some foods have more calories than others. Most foods are mixtures of water, protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, enzymes... The number of calories in a food depends on how much of each of these is present.
- Carbohydrates: 4 calories per gram: Bread, cereals, sugars...
- Proteins: 4 calories per gram: Meat, fish, eggs...
- Fats: 9 calories per gram: Fats, oils...
- Alcohol also provides calories, about 7 per gram.
- Water, vitamins, minerals, enzymes... have practically no calories.
