I went to Reno with my dad and uncle this weekend and I only liked the shows I saw there.

Well the slots don't HAVE to be played. They are certainly not robbing you because you are voluntarily plowing your money into them. Most of the time you will lose, but some people get lucky and win millions. Those people probably don't complain too much!

But if you don't like them and don't want to risk losing money, don't play them and enjoy the shows, pure and simple.

slot machines are usually programed to pay out 95-98%. Meaning the slot machine will pay out 95-98% of your and other peoples money - IN THE LONG RUN. However the odds are so great that you will hit the right combination, most people do not have enough money to wait out the odds and hit for 95-98% of the "take" in a machine.

So in actuality the casino only makes 2-5% off the top, call it the price of entertainment. However many people leave or run out of money long before they get back their 95-98% back from the machine. So like any other casino game the house is guaranteed a return.

there is a reason that casinos can offer cheap meals, great shows and sometimes free drinks, and its not because they are giving away money on the game floor.

so if money is precious to you stay away from the game floor and enjoy the other aspects of the casino.

Yes, you lose a little more than a nickel for every dollar wagered in any casino game played against the house

How can they rob you if you're not forced to play them?

Don't like them? Don't go to a casino. I am a believer in letting people decide for themselves.

Do you seriously think anybody would install expensive machines to hand out money to you? Ofcourse they are the ones making the profit!

Slots don't rob you. You give them your money, and they entertain you. It's a trade.

Only put money in there if your prepared to loose it. They suck you never come out on top! it'd be more exciting watching a show than flashing little lights anyway.
