I think gerbera sound perfect, they are so beautiful, however I wouldn't have them made into an old fashioned style bouquet, I would just have a bunch tied together with some silver ribbon.

You could go with orange roses. Or those roses that kind of fade to different colors. Either the ones that are yellow with orange tips or orange with pink tips. That would be really pretty. I know you can find orange orchids, the smaller kind that might look nice all bunched together. I think the gerberas could look nice as a bouquet too, if you would really prefer them. You can always ask a florist to bunch some together so you can get a quick idea of how it would look.
Some other orange flowers, or flowers that at least come in orange:
amaryllis
calla lilies
lilies
ranunculus
tulips
Good luck with your choice!

I searched on google photographs for the two bouquets and that i think of the pink and orange calla lily bouquet seems extra advantageous. The white calla lilies with some pink and orange vegetation seem too very like Easter.

There are lots of nice orange flowers out there. Lillies, roses, asters... ask a florist - they'll be able to provide lots of suggestions. Also look for "fall bouquets" online - orange is pretty common in them.

I would make it a pale orange, and perhaps blend it with white flowers to help blend with your dress and the winter white season. I would say go with roses, they always look good and they photograph really well.

Offhand, I'm not sure what flowers are popular in Dec other than poinsettas, nor what is available to you in your area.
But your florist could use orange roses, or even dye mums, fiji mums, or carnations.
