Not all computers have microsoft office, installed your fisr PC must have been a preinstall.

You can buy a version of office, or just to open a powerpoint file you can use an alternative free ofice pack like openoffice.org

No.

The Package for CD feature in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 allows you to copy one or more presentations along with supporting files onto a CD. The Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer is included by default on the CD and will run the packaged presentations on another computer even if PowerPoint is not installed.

In Microsoft PowerPoint, open the presentation you want to package.

On the File menu, click Package for CD.

In the Package for CD dialog box, click Options, and then select the options you want.

Note The PowerPoint Viewer is included by default when you use the Package for CD feature.

Office is usually a separate product you must purchase and install. In fact sometimes Microsoft Windows is not even installed on the PC when you buy it. Just make sure you read the box to see what you're getting.

Nope! Some use Linux and have Open Office. Windows is the OS and Office is a Suite of applications. PPT is one of the suite. When Office is installed, u can select to install all or select what u want. If u still have the original CD then reinstall using custom and make sure that the PPT application is selected (checked) and go 4 it.

No, not every comp has Microsoft Office.

And, many computers that have some of Microsoft Office have only Word and/or Excel.

You'll have to go out and buy it.

They don't all have it pre-installed. When you buy a new computer you usually have to pay extra for Microsoft Office.
