Congratulations in giving up smoking. This can only be good for you.
You did the right thing and don't ever doubt it.
If you believed what your friend has prayed for you, then it will happen. You need to have faith as small a mustard seed.
Keep on thinking positive and know that your body has been healed. I am a nurse aswell, so just do as your mum told you.
Bless you

Don't worry so much, you usually get sore throat and a cough a few weeks after you smoke coz all the gunk from your lungs is coming out. Its ok to get worried about stuff just don't let it take over. If you still have worries go and see a doctor..

well the best thing i found for worry is make sure theres nothing about. If you have a sore throat that lasts more than 2/3 weeks, a strange taste in your mouth, strange sensations in ur nose - its always best to get it checked out. Go to the doctor and ask! it may just be a saliva gland. or ur tonsils or something. No harm in getting it looked at.
you're young and healthy so no need to stress!

You've done the best thing though= I need to give up
Your sore throat was what always happens when you give up- its your bodies way of cleansing itself- and you might cough up loads of stuff but its a good sign- you may even get a bit of a cold or feel a bit rough- you have totally done the right thing!!!
Don't worry about anything- you'll forget and feel amazing very soon.

Go see your doctor. Get a good check-up and get some hobbies to get your mind off worrying so much. Exercise, and enjoy life kid. Check out with your doctor if you do not have an anxiety disorder like OCD, GAD. Oh and as mentioned, keep away from moms nursing books.

Four years isn't long enough to give you cancer from smoking alone. And when you quite your throat will feel weird for a while. Soon you won't even notice it.

When you feel like that, call a friend. Do not talk about your fears. Just go to a movie or shopping or anything to take your mind off of it. When I started nursing school, I did the samething.

That's great that you quit! I'm proud of you. If you're worried about cancer, eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Also exercise is good.
