Startup Resources are low. What do I HAVE to Keep Running in MsConfig in Startup. I am running Win ME. Compaq Presario.

This question can not be answered here without knowing what programs etc. is in your machine. You can UNcheck items keeping track of them (just one or two at a time) so if something doesn't work or work right you can go back and check them again. Below is a link that describes many items and tells you if you need them of not. Take your time and clk around to get all the info. you need. Make a list of the items in your start-up before going to this link so you can find the items one at a time.

I uncheck everything in the start up tab of msconfig
if you pc is slow you can also go to
start - run - type prefetch
delete everything in that folder. you might have to do it once a day but it really helps your pc run faster.
