Not very well. I saw a report on how some people became severely ill eating prepackaged salad. They traced the source back to the lettuce fields. It was found that the workers were relieving themselves (urinating and defecating) in the field and on the product. Despite all the washings after the fact, there was still a measurable amount of E.Coli bacteria as a result.

Jets of water are sprayed on it as it goes through a conveyor belt. I still wash it again.

DON'T TOUCH IT - don't buy this or any other pre-packed salads they are full of chemicals. Point in fact, they do not last - the minute you open that bag, the veg start to rot - not natural babe!!!
