Heres the background---- My brother and his friend needed a place to stay while trying to find jobs in FLorida. My parents said only he could stay at their house, not the friend. He told his friend that it was OK to park in the driveway of my house (it is vacant because we moved out and put it up for sale) and sleep in his van.
Also he told his friend that he could use my address to get a drivers license. The only way I found this out is because I have got pawn tickets in my mailbox where this guy has pawned merchandise. I dont like this friend of his cause he is hot headed and a thug. When I confronted my brother about it, he got offended because I didnt want his friend using my address or living out of his van in my driveway!!! Which in turn caused a big fight. He told me to leave my parents house (which hes just staying there) and never come back (multiple times). My parents did not step up and even say anything to him about this.. Am I wrong for not talking to them?

No, you know this is just crazy strange. If someone off the street told you this story, then you would probably say, those people are nuts, including you for tolerating this behaviour so long.
If I were you, then I would report the van and friend to the local authorities. It is your house. How can you sell it with a thug living out front on your property. Go get the paperwork for trespassing, stick it in his window, Post no trespassing signs. Get him out of there. You don't owe this stranger anything. Sounds like your brother has beat down your parents. If your parents don't allow the thug over, then WHY should you.
Get to work. Respect yourself, they aren't going to do it.
Good Luck!

It sounds to me they may be afraid of what will happened if they defended you. A person living in your house can do a great deal of harm to you verse someone that you could lock out. Plus your brother has a friend that you say is a thug, your brother and his friend could be to for-biddable a force for your parents to say much.

You might check into to possibility of contacting adult protective services to check on your parents well being. Please state all factual information you have on the situation. And the police for criminal trespass with your situation.

Overreacting big time. Does it matter that this friend is using a driveway and address if the place is up for sale? You sound like your very spoiled.

Well, "not talking to them" isn't exactly the mature response, but. . .

I think you are totally justified in your reaction to your brother's friend, especially if your brother didn't even get your permission first (you don't mention, but I assumed). You do realize you have LEGAL recourse, don't you? After all, this person is trespassing on your private property, among other things.

Good luck.
