33cl means 33 centilitres -- or a third of a litre and a solid lower case 'e' means the containers is a standard European approved sized container of that amount.

33cl sized cans are common in Europe. Are you sure your drink is 25cl?


EU law says

All prepackages made up in accordance with this Directive shall bear on the package the following markings affixed in such a manner as to be indelible, easily legible and visible on the prepackage in normal conditions of presentation:


a small "e" at least 3 mm high, placed in the same field of vision as the indication of the nominal volume of the contents, certifying that the prepackage meets the requirements of this Directive

If so, possibly "33 Cle" refers to a bottling company code--such as American Bottling Company in Cleveland (Cle) and the plant location # 33
