Because people hate unatural blondes. If your sister has natural blonde hair (or dirty blond w/highlights) and is very smart chances are people won't make fun of her. But if she has black hair and bleaches it blond and acts really fake while still being smart people will make fun of her. Also sometimes men like blondes more than brunettes and vice versa and brunettes and blondes get jealous of eachother.

Back in the old day when TVs were in black and white the blonde appearance took it toll, it was the fashion statement, brunettes some how got jealous of the fabulous look and decided to trash talk about it, but blonde are smart, i am a blonde and i got on to the nation honor roll, Don't people need to be smart to get that?

Blame Hollywood. It's all the stupid celebrities that dye their hair blonde and do dumb things that make all the regular blondes look bad :(
I'm a brunette though, but I have a lot of friends with blonde hair, and they're all very smart...

I think it is because blonds are generally seen in a differnt sexual light by men. I also think that some of the blonds who are in the spotlight are retarded and only know how to do one thing. And that one thing isn't help world peace. I think it has given way to a rationialization that blonds are not as smart. I don't believe this.

Because back in the day, blondes were portrayed as being cute and stupid. Look at Suzanne Summers character, Chrissy, on Threes Company. She was cute but dumb as a box of rocks. I guess it just carried on from then, which is not fair.

lol, What a funny question! I think its because blonde women can stand out more than brunettes or red heads and sometimes have more confidence. This makes everyone else jealous and they make fun of them. It doesn't help that alot of the dumb A-listers (Paris Hilton) are blonde. They give us a bad rep.

im not blonde myself... its only because some people see the perfect blonde image as a threat to them selves and the myth of dum blondes probably came out there are alot of clever blondes... its only a joke so dont take it to heart

beacause blonde girls act stupid an dum, its like they dont know antthing, people think they only know about make-up clothes boys etc. but sum r very intelligent if they look past there boobs bum face etc lol an when they say they ave more fun, that is rubbish, cos i ave brown hair an most of my mates r blonde an they dont get as much attention as i do lol

Some blondes appear or play dumb, thereby giving blondes the bad reputation.
Some can be ditzy, but its the same for all hair colours really!
