They make more money by selling their own brand products

They dont want other companies to take a cut of what they sell. They can pay some tiny company pennies to make them chocolate bars, cans of pop, sandwiches and all sorts of other food items which can then be sold at very high prices to people who will pay money to have "M & S" stamped on everything they eat.

I havent researched this. It is just a guess.

Why doesn't Topshop sell New Look?

Just because M+S do a line in foods, doesn't mean they should make money for another bunch of companies!
