pedestrians only have right of way in a pedestrian Xing or crosswalk. If the crosswalk is equipped with a walk/don't walk signal they only have right of way when the walk light is on. I actually had a cousin who ran out in front of a vehicle and was hit and the driver of the truck sued his parents and won. He won the case for mental anguish suffered due to what he went through although my cousin died in the accident and there were signs of him speeding in the truck.

Yes!!! There are times when pedestrians may be places they shouldn't be, but vehicles should always yield to pedestrians... I'm not saying this is a legal theory, just my own (very strong) personal opinion.

I'm not sure but I hate it when I'm riding down the street and people just walk out in front of me (when I go to this other town thats like 10 minutes away because people from my town have common sense and don't walk in front of cars) I almost hit a crackhead and small group teenagers. I understand if I'm driving in a parking lot and people are coming out of a store they have the right to just walk in front of me. But personally I don't think people always have the right of way and if they do I don't care because if I'm driving down the street then they need to stay on the damn sidewalk till all the cars ride by,

only in crosswalks, I wish people would pay more attention to bicyclists that are following the rules of the road. Too often do I almost get hit by drivers not paying attention to bicyclists. Just look both ways before you pull up in front of the sidewalk crossing driveways or entrances
